![]() ![]() ![]() The story leads up to an exciting climax and I couldn’t put it down throughout the final 5%, propping my eyes open with matchsticks I finally had to surrender to sleep at around 97% and finish it the next day. ![]() I don’t know whether this is because I’ve had a busy time in my life and had to keep breaking from it, or whether perhaps the book is just slightly too long in certain parts. ![]() The only thing I would say about this book is that although all of the events do lead up to the ending and help up to understand the characters it feels a little long at parts. They are three young dragons and firm friends, throughout the story we see the three trying to blend in in the human world and two of them, holding down human jobs! This is new to me, it’s definitely not like anything I’ve read! Reading further in to the book we meet our three main characters, Peter, Richie and Tank. This story begins with the story of George and the Dragon as it is told to young dragons growing up in the nursery ring, and what a beginning it is! The opening really pulled me in to the story, I’ve never read anything quite like it and I found it very original even if it is a spin on an old tale. ![]()
